We’ve had a lot of fun during the Holiday season. Eat-all-you-can kainan are found left and right. It didn't help that it’s hard to say no to your relatives who keep putting food on your plate nonstop. Do ya’ll feel me? If you have gained a wee bit of weight, like I am, that’s totally fine! It’s not bad to give in to our cravings sometimes. What’s important is we go back to our original path and keep working towards our goal: be active and live healthier.

We have our own ways to do just that. Some go to the gym, some prefer following along YouTube instructional videos, and most are just figuring out what’s best for them. If you are a homebody or your local gym has yet to operate, you can still stay active even in the comforts of your home. Here are 8 Nintendo Switch games that can aid you in achieving your fitness goals this 2021.

Alright. As my favorite fitness coach would say:  Let’s start easy and then we will progress.

1-2 switch

It isn’t as hardcore as the ones that will be mentioned later but you can start here. 1-2 switch features many mini-games that are both entertaining and competitive. It is largely a party game so you will need your buddy to play with you.

Mario & Sonic Olympic Games Tokyo 2020

It also comes with different mini-games but unlike 1-2 Switch, you have an option to play it by yourself or with someone else.

Mario Tennis Aces

Burning some calories with Mario Tennis Aces, would depend on the effort you exert. Swing your arms hard enough and step left and right to feel your heart pumping.

Okay, that's enough for the warm-up. Here are the ones that will surely push your body  to the limit. 

Zumba Burn it Up

This is a perfect alternative if you cannot join your local Zumba sesh (if it’s allowed in your area). It comes with energy  inducing songs with easy to follow steps. 

Just Dance

This is a forever classic! If you are allergic to ‘exercise’ but you like dancing, then Just Dance is for you. You will surely break out a sweat if you dance to your favorite songs for hours! With it's local multiplayer option, your family or buddies can also tag along. 

Fitness Boxing

This is perfect for newbies who would like to stick to a plan. Fitness boxing offers a lot of customization, from your instructor’s appearance and songs to the duration of your training. It gets more challenging as you progress.

Ring Fit Adventure

It comes with a lot of challenges that will also show you which muscle group you are working. It’s fun and by the end of the challenges, you don’t know if you are crying or sweating.
