The Last of Us HBO Series Casts its Joel and Ellie

Neil Druckman, Director, and writer of The Last of Us and The Last of Us Part II announced yesterday on Twitter the actors who'll portray the live-action adaptation of The Last of Us' main characters, Joel and Ellie. Joel will be played by Pedro Pascal (Game of Thrones, The Mandalorian) and Ellie will be portrayed by a promising young actress Bella Ramsey (Game of Thrones). Bella Ramsey played the fan-favorite headstrong young lady of House Mormont of Bear Island, Lyanna Mormont (her arc easily is one of the best things that came out of Game of Thrones Season 8) and with Pedro Pascal's recent success playing as the space shooting, alien baby caring merc, The Mandalorian and other movies and tv shows, fan's minds were put at ease especially after the rumored casting of another great actor, Mahershala Ali earlier that day.

The Last of Us engrossed the lot of us *wink* with how Naughty Dog portrayed 2 seemingly unlikely pair traveling and surviving a post-apocalypse America back in 2013. Joel, a jaded man still recovering from those he lost and Ellie, this naive and curious 14-year-old girl who grew up in a harsh world not knowing what the old world is like.

Together, they went thru a LOT that it won't probably do justice if we tell the story here, it's one of those stories where you'll have to experience it or watch it hopefully with the LIVE-ACTION SERIES from HBO

No specific release date announced yet but if you want to experience the story now, The Last of Us and The Last of Us Part II are already available for PlayStation 4. Take advantage of the Playful New Year Sale and get part II at a discounted price until February 21.
