PlayStation fans were in for a treat during the recent State of Play, a 50-minute presentation packed with new game reveals, exciting updates, and some long-awaited release dates. Whether you're into action, nostalgia, or fighting games, there was something here for everyone.

Here are 15 major highlights you might’ve missed:

 

1. Astro Bot shares New Content + Updated DualSense Wireless Controller

Astro Bot continues to charm players, and now there's even more to look forward to! Five brand-new Vicious Void Galaxy levels are on the way, each featuring their own unique Special Bots. One surprise cameo? A quick glimpse of Atsu, the protagonist from the highly anticipated Ghost of Yotei.

Also making a comeback is the Astro Bot Limited Edition DualSense Wireless Controller, now updated with adorable smiley eyes! It's launching later this year—and yes, we’ll let you know if it becomes available in our store.

 

2. Silent Hill f gets a release date

After first being announced in October 2022 and getting a chilling reveal trailer in March 2025, fans have been eager to know when Silent Hill f is finally arriving. Now we have the answer—it's coming to PS5 on September 25, 2025.

As a standalone spinoff, it's perfect for longtime fans and newcomers alike. Stay tuned for local pre-orders.

 

3. MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls

One of the biggest surprises of the show: PlayStation Studios, Arc System Works, and Marvel Games are teaming up for a brand-new tag-team fighter. Expect fast-paced combat and superhero mayhem—this collab is one to watch.

 

4. Pragmata Lives!

Capcom’s sci-fi project Pragmata re-emerged with a new trailer, showing off a mysterious duo—Hugh and Diana. There's still a lot we don't know, but the game is now set to launch in 2026. This time it’s real.

 

5. Ghost of Yotei Gets Its Own State of Play Soon

We only got a few seconds of Ghost of Yotei in today’s showcase—but that’s by design. A dedicated State of Play is coming this July, promising a deeper dive into exploration, combat, and more.

7. Project Defiant – A New Fight Stick

PlayStation is making its first-ever wireless fight stick, and it's compatible with both PS5 and PC. Dubbed Project Defiant, it's set to launch next year

 

8. 007: First Light

From the creators of Hitman comes 007: First Light, a new origin story featuring a young James Bond. Expect espionage, stealth, and spy action. Full gameplay reveal coming this summer. Releases on PS5 in 2026.

Right off the bat, Romeo is a Dead Man is weird, stylish, and totally chaotic—exactly what you'd expect from Grasshopper Manufacture, the creators of No More Heroes and Killer7. If you’re ready to laugh, get confused, and embrace the madness, this one's for you.

10. Nioh 3 Officially Revealed + Demo Available Now

Team Ninja has officially revealed Nioh 3, a fantasy action RPG that lets players switch between two distinct fighting styles: Samurai and Ninja. The Samurai style offers a familiar experience for fans of the series, while the Ninja style focuses on speed, agility, dodging, and even aerial attacks.

11. Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles Returns September 30

Tactical RPG fans, rejoice—Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles lands on PS4 and PS5 this September 30.

12. Bloodstained: The Scarlet Engagement – A Prequel Rises

A new chapter in the Bloodstained saga! The Scarlet Engagement is a prequel to Ritual of the Night, set in the massive Ethereal Castle.

13. Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound Launches July 31

The legendary series returns in side-scrolling form! Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound lands on PS5 and PS4 on July 31, blending the franchise’s unforgiving roots with The Game Kitchen’s (the team behind Blasphemous I & II) fast-paced, modern action flair.

 

14. Sea of Remnants – A Stylish Pirate-Themed F2P RPG

Sea of Remnants is a stylish, free-to-play voyage-themed RPG set in a beautifully crafted pirate world. Players will recruit a crew, explore uncharted routes, engage in turn-based combat, and even build their own island life. The game is slated for release in 2026.

 

15. Tides of Tomorrow – Choice-Driven Multiplayer Adventure

Tides of Tomorrow is shaping up to be something truly unique. This asynchronous multiplayer experience lets your journey intertwine with decisions made by players who came before you.
