Summer Game Fest 2025 isn’t slowing down. After an exciting State of Play and the main SGF event, Xbox stepped up to deliver its biggest showcase of the year—and it did not disappoint. From major RPGs to long-awaited sequels, and even a surprise Call of Duty reveal, here are 20 of the biggest moments from the Xbox Games Showcase 2025.

 

1. The Outer Worlds 2

Obsidian returns with a new look at The Outer Worlds 2, showing off its visuals, gameplay, and satirical charm. It will be released on October 29 on Xbox Series X/S, PC, Xbox Cloud, and PS5. Available Day 1 via Xbox Game Pass.

 

2. High on Life 2

Get ready to laugh and blast again—High on Life 2 is officially on the way with more talking weapons and even weirder alien humor. Coming this Winter 2025 on Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Xbox Cloud. 

 

3. Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy

A haunting follow-up to the Plague Tale series. Resonance takes place 15 years before A Plague Tale: Requiem and follows young Sophia as she seeks her independence as a fierce plunderer in the unforgiving world of the 14th century. Coming in 2026 to Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Xbox Cloud. Available Day 1 with Xbox Game Pass.

 

4. ROG Xbox Ally

In a surprise hardware moment, ASUS and Xbox announced the ROG Xbox Ally, a special edition handheld gaming device optimized for Game Pass and Xbox Cloud Gaming.

 

5. Hollow Knight: Silksong

Yes, it's real. Yes, it's still happening. While there was no dedicated trailer or deep dive,  Hollow Knight: Silksong was briefly mentioned during the overview of the ROG Xbox Ally—just enough to remind fans that it's alive.

 

6. Blood of Dawnwalker

A new trailer dropped for this highly anticipated action-RPG from former CD Projekt Red developers. Featuring dark, atmospheric vibes and intense combat, Blood of the Dawnwalker is set to launch in 2026.

 

7. Ninja Gaiden 4

The new trailer shows Ryu Hayabusa cracking skulls with a twirling Izuna Drop and introduces a new protagonist. Still gory and high-octane as ever, this installment promises to keep the classic Ninja Gaiden intensity alive.

 

8. Indiana Jones and the Great Circle: The Order of Giants

An all-new story chapter takes Indiana Jones to the ancient streets of Rome, where forgotten catacombs twist into something far more sinister. Indy must outwit a dangerous cult and decipher puzzles designed by emperors to uncover the dark legacy of the Nephilim giants.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle: The Order of Giants is available September 4.

 

9. Beast of Reincarnation

Didn’t know Game Freak—yes, the Game Freak behind Pokémon games—could make a game like this! Formerly known as Project Bloom, Beast of Reincarnation is set in post-apocalyptic Japan, a land ruined by corruption and crawling with monstrous beasts. Humanity’s last hope may rest with Emma—an outcast cursed as a Blighted One—and Koo, her loyal canine companion. Launching in 2026.

 

10. Clockwork Revolution

The long-awaited steampunk RPG returns with an extended look featuring characters, gameplay, dialogue choices, and weapon customization. With Prince of Persia–esque mechanics, you can rewind time to correct your mistakes—an ability that could alter the world around you. The trailer ends with a cryptic message: “Coming in due time.”

 

11. Cronos: The New Dawn

Bloober Team’s survival horror game set in a twisted future where monstrous “Orphans” roam. Face grotesque enemies in tense third-person action. No release date yet.

 

12. Mudang: Two Hearts

A stealth action thriller set in near-future Korea on the brink of reunification. A North Korean soldier teams up with a K-Pop star amid a national crisis. Coming to Xbox in 2026.

 

13. Solo Leveling: Arise OVERDRIVE

Based on the hit webtoon, Solo Leveling: ARISE OVERDRIVE brings the ultimate action RPG to Xbox with new mechanics and 4-player real-time co-op!

 

14. Gears of War 1 Reloaded

The classic Gears of War returns fully rebuilt in 4K at up to 120 FPS, with modernized multiplayer, cross-play, and cross-progression. The definitive way to experience the original. Drops August 26, 2025, Day 1 on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.

 

15. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4

The beloved skateboarding classics are getting a remaster—and yes, Doomguy is a playable skater. A demo is available now.

 

16. Persona 4 Revival

Finally confirmed—Persona 4 Revival is a full remake in the style of Persona 3 Reload. No release date yet, but it’s already available to wishlist on Xbox.

 

17. Invincible VS

A new fighting game set in the Invincible universe.

 

18. Final Fantasy XVI

Final Fantasy XVI is officially out now on Xbox platforms—a major milestone as Square Enix brings one of its most prestigious titles to more players. Experience epic Eikons, fast-paced combat, and an emotional story, now available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox PC, and Xbox Cloud.

 

19. Final Fantasy VII Integrade

Alongside FFXVI, Final Fantasy VII Intergrade is coming to Xbox Series X|S, Xbox PC, and Xbox Cloud this Winter 2025, letting players jump in with upgraded visuals and the Intermission DLC.

 

20. Call of Duty Black Ops 7

The biggest surprise of the show—Call of Duty: Black Ops 7—is set in 2035 with David Mason leading the charge. The trailer flips between a sleek futuristic utopia and a grim dystopian reality, leaving us hyped and curious. No release date announced yet.
